A lot of the non-shiny (matte) stuff that I use is actually acrylic paint, not polish. I also really like Revlon’s matte nail polishes. I love the matte look, but it’s definitely easiest to achieve with paints. Another way to get the look is to use a matte top coat, I really like Kleancolor’s matte top coat. I hope that helps!
Thank you, Kristine! About half the time I use acrylic paint and half the time I use nail polish. Usually small details are done in acrylic paint, while bigger stuff is done with polish. Sometimes I only use polish though. The acrylic paints don’t last *quite* as long as polish. I find that if you top coat them, they last almost as long, but maybe a day shorter. If you don’t top coat them, then as soon as you wash your hands they will bleed together. I just use the cheapest brand of acrylic paint that is available at the craft store I go to. The brand is called “Craft Smart.” I have heard that if you buy the better acrylic paints, they work better, but I’m not sure how true that is. Hope that helps!

Thank you, that means so much coming from you! I measure how good my designs are based on if you like them! I am always looking out for your name in my notes because I know that when you like something it’s Scarlett Approved =)
